I’m doing a west coast tour! With my good friend Barbara Gray. I can’t wait. I’ve never done stand-up in most of these places, and I’ve never even BEEN to some. Canada?! Uh uh uh whaaaaat?!
I can’t wait.

Hello. Dave here. I just got back from a two-month tour. (Or rather, I got back from a two-month tour two weeks ago, and I’ve been resting/sleeping/dead since then.)
I just wanted to say thank you. I haven’t said that yet. Thank you. Thank all of you. Thank you to everyone who came to a show, everyone who booked me, everyone who helped me get booked, everyone who gave me a place to stay, performed with me, let me perform with them, hung out with me, talked to me after shows, and was nice to me. It is SO many people. Thank you.
It was honestly the greatest two months of my life. I want to do it again. Right now. I did every type of show in every type of venue, and every type of stand-up you can imagine. I headlined shows at houses and restaurants and weird bombed-out bars, and I opened for my friends at clubs and rock venues.
It all ended with a headlining show at the Improv here in LA, and also THANK YOU ALL FOR THAT. It was a packed house, and it was probably the best show of my life. I did a lot of great shows on this tour, but this one took the cake and then some. Seriously thank you to everyone who came, and to all my friends who performed on the show (and MURDERED, by the way), and to everyone who’s been a friend to me and supported me in comedy and in also just being my dumb self.
This next part is gonna sound REAL corny, but it’s true. *Ahem.* I love this country. I fucking love this country so much. I LOVE AMERICA. I drove from LA to New York through the South, and then from New York to LA through the Midwest, stopping daily at small towns and big cities alike, and all I feel is an intense love for my country, and for the people in it, and for stand-up fucking comedy.
Thank you to Leon Blanda and John-Michael Bond and Josh Lathe each for coming with me on legs of the tour. That shit saved me. And thanks to Kyle Kinane for taking me along with him on his tour. That shit was so fun.
And there are SO many more people! It would be impossible to post the entire list of great people I met on this tour. Just know that if we met and/or drank and/or talked and/or laughed together out there, you gotta come to LA some time so we can hang the fuck out.
And thanks to Olivia Cathcart and Joe Karg for documenting it! They’re at The Laugh Button, and we did a weekly tour diary together from April until just now. Everything I did and everyone I met and want to thank are in there, so if you’re interested in EVEN MORE BLATHERING from me, please enjoy.
Thanks for reading this. It was important to me to say all of this. I’m sure it reads EPIC-AS-FUCK and I should probably CALM DOWN but I really can’t. I feel great. I feel loved. I feel like I chose the right path. I feel insanely thankful. This is the best year of my life.
I love you.

I just guested on my friend Curt Neill’s Untitled Screenplays! If you don’t know Curt or his dumb blog, you will not be disappointed. (It’s good dumb. Like GREAT dumb. Not bad dumb. Like it’s smart but dumb. You get it.)
My story is about my butt.
Guest Submission #24!
This week’s guest submission comes to us from wonderful comedian and friend to all, Dave Ross! It’s about a butt. And I like that.
(If you’d like to submit an Untitled Screenplay of your own, just email it to email@example.com)
I love The Grawlix. I love them so much. Whenever I’ve come through Denver (on the last Friday of a month), they’ve been kind enough to put me on their live show at the Bug Theater, and now they’ve put a bit of mine on their Best-of compilation albums two years in a row.
It’s so cool. It’s the coolest. Both of my tracks are about gay sex I’ve never had.
